What is Walking Away?
- It is a way of finding out more about your risk of developing diabetes
- It is a course to help you think about making small changes that will reduce your risk.
- It is an opportunity to meet and share experiences with others.
So, what's involved?
You are being invited to join a small group of people at risk of developing diabetes on a Walking Away education course. The sessions will be held a local venue and last three hours. Trained educatiors ensure that you are provided with honest, up-to-date information about the causes and effects of diabetes and the options for managing your risk of developing diabetes.
The sessions arebuilt around group acitivities and there will be oppurtunities for individuals to speak to the educators on their own if they wish.
