|For some people a full medical is not required and you may only need an up-to-date chest x-ray. If the New Zealand Immigration Department have advised you this is all you require, these are also done at Pacfic Radiology Marinoto and is called an Up-front Medical which costs $200**. Please check with them regarding the cost as these are subject to change.|
Requirements for New Zealand Immigration Medical:
- Current passport
- Glasses or contact lenses
- Any medical information or reports that the doctor may need to see
- Parent or legal guardian for applicants under 18 years of age
A full medical examination will need to be carried out by the doctor. You may be required to do a urine sample so please ensure you are well hydrated. Laboratory blood tests may also be required which are an additional cost. Women are unable to complete the medical if you have your period as the urine sample cannot be done during menstruation, or within three days of it finishing. If you are pregnant you will need to bring a letter from your doctor or midwife confirming your estimated delivery date.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time so that we can register your details and take your photograph prior to your medical.
